Under One Moon was commissioned by Chopsticks Alley Art Gallery in 2024 to celebrate the traditions of the mid-Autumn festival. Featured artists included Illuminate SJ Now!!!, Cynthia Cao, Sabrina Kwong, and Robin Lasser, with an original score by Troy Truong.

This project explores natural cycles through photography, travel, and digital collage. Landscape images captured in different places are layered with digitally manipulated elements to create compositions that blend reality and imagination, evoking a sense of wonder and highlighting our connection to the natural world.
A central focus is the full moon, which has long held cultural and historical significance across global traditions. Often associated with renewal, transformation, and seasonal change, the moon has guided agricultural, spiritual, and communal practices for centuries.
Across cultures, each full moon carries traditional names that reflect seasonal rhythms and natural phenomena:
January: Wolf / Center / Holiday
February: Snow / Bear / Budding
March: Worm / Crow / Sleepy
April: Pink / Breaking Ice / Peony
May: Flower / Planting / Dragon
June: Strawberry / Horse / Lotus
July: Buck / Salmon / Hungry Ghost
August: Sturgeon / Grain / Harvest
September: Harvest / Corn / Chrysanthemum
October: Hunter’s / Drying Rice / Kindly
